Co-founders
Prof Amy Grove
Professor of Implementation Science and Director of the Centre for Evidence and Implementation Science (CEIS) at the University of Birmingham. As a Chartered Psychologist and experienced methodologist, her work focuses on evaluating and implementing health technologies and evidence-based interventions, including leading government and industry funded research and development.
Dr Arabella Scantlebury
Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham and Deputy Director of the Centre for Evidence and Implementation Science. Bella is a leader in implementation science specialising in surgery, urgent care and health policy. She leads complex, mixed methods evaluations for public sector and government-funded programmes, helping organisations understand how interventions can be effectively implemented, adopted and sustained in real-world settings.
Senior Leadership Team
Dr Peter Auguste
Dr Peter Auguste is an Assistant Professor in Health Economics and Decision Modelling within the Birmingham Centre for Evidence and Implementation Science, University of Birmingham.
Peter’s research covers several areas within health economics but mainly undertaking economic evaluation and critical appraisal of economic evidence. His interests include health economic modelling, survival analysis in health technology assessment, systematic review, and evidence synthesis of diagnostic test accuracy, particularly in tuberculosis, obstructive sleep apnoea and multiple sclerosis.
Dr Fiona Campbell
Fiona is the Evidence Synthesis Lead within the Centre for Evidence and Implementation which includes the NIHR funded West Midlands Evidence Synthesis Group. Her research interests focus on advancing evidence synthesis methodologies to support policy and clinical decision making. She is committed to building global research capacity through collaborative, interdisciplinary approaches.
Dr Jo Parsons
Dr Jo Parsons is a mixed methods health science researcher, specialising in qualitative methodology, maternal health research, behaviour change, Psychometric testing and development and evaluation of health interventions. Jo is certified for Occupational Ability and Occupational Personality test use with the British Psychological Society Psychology Testing Centre.
Dr Sarah Damery
Sarah is an applied health researcher with extensive mixed methods experience, including quantitative and qualitative methodologies, evidence synthesis, service evaluation and the implementation of evidence into practice. Her work focuses on health and social care service delivery for chronic conditions.

Dr Julia Gauly
Dr Julia Gauly is a mixed methods health service researcher with experience in the conduct of literature reviews (scoping reviews, systematic reviews, realist reviews), interviews and focus groups, quantitative surveys and data integration (e.g. Pillar Integration Process and The Extended Pillar Integration Process).
